WTF? I Like to Run!

When runners do their best, they are all equal. But the paradox is that those far back in the pack exceed the designated winners in the time they must endure the forces that would make them quit. -- George Sheehan - Running to Win: How to Achieve the Physical, Mental & Spiritual Victories of Running (1992)

This is what is going to get me through the Music City Half Marathon in April. I know I can do it, I just want to do it well!

Frisky Business

J.T. had his Christmas program at school on his birthday. For the last few songs, he was standing beside a little girl that is not in his class, so I didn't know who she was. As we were leaving he says: "You wanna know who I kissed?"
Me: Who?
J.T. :A girl.
Me: What girl?
J.T.: I don't know. The one in the silver dress.

He just throws it around like it's nothing!

I will post pics when I am not feeling so lazy!

We Need to Talk

Our electricity has gone off a couple of times in the last few weeks, and always at night. JT gets quite concerned about this and thinks that something is really wrong. He is constantly talking about the power lines and them staying "fixed." Last night, after we had put him to bed, he came out to the living room all serious like. He said "I love you guys, but we need to talk." "Something is wrong with our house, the 'lectricity is broken." We put his mind at ease, but I really thought I was going to laugh my head off!

Word of the Day Wednesday

Skegging: A skirt and leggings combined.

I had no idea this was called a "skegging". Lily June has some, and they are cute. I did not buy them for her...and I am sure I wouldn't have just because of the name alone. But she looks darn cute in them!

Stalker

We visited a local church ONCE over 2 years ago. Since then, the pastor has been to our house no less than 5 times. The very first time he came I was laid up on the couch, not wearing a bra all the while eating oreos. It was blazing hot outside and Darrell went to the door, but of course could not invite him. So they stood outside forever talking and sweating. The last two times he has come, which has been in the last month, he has come at 8:00 at night and Darrell always goes to the door. I think he likes Darrell. I hope he finally got the message this time when Darrell told him we joined another church. Even if I had enjoyed his church, I wouldn't go back because I used to work for one of his crazy parishoners. No more pushy pastors please!

Panera Induced Anxiety

We went to Panera this morning for some breakfast. I really do love their food. However, being in that place almost gives me a panic attack. There is something about it that is so disorganized and I hate going in there (didn't realize just how much until today)! I don't like the closeness of the tables and the picking up of the food. I especially don't like the fact that they have diet pepsi...that fact alone gives me anxiety before I even get there. Not to mention the fact that their diet pepsi is really sulphur-y tasting. Blech! Panera, I love some bread, I love some soup, could you please get a drive thru?

Kthnxbai!
